How are PVC Sheet Piles driven?
Sheets are best driven using a guide frame for alignment. Depending on how hard the soil is, the sheets are normally driven with an excavator mounted vibratory pile-driver with a ‘Piling Helmet’ which clips over the top of the pile.
In soils with large stones or solid objects near the surface, a trench can be dug, the sheets installed, then the trench backfilled
How hard can the ground conditions be to drive SG625 PVC Sheet Pile into?
SG625 can be driven into soils with a SPT N reading of 25 & sometimes up to 30. Driving in soils harder will require pre-drilling with a CFA type auger OR using a mandrel to hold & drive the sheet pile. Mandrels can be very costly to build, the size of the project would determine if this is economic

SG625 is 762mm wide and 19kgs per lineal metre
Can PVC Sheet Piles be driven into Rock or Solid Objects?
No. The PVC sheet pile will get damaged or break. Steel sheet pile will also be damaged if driven into these objects
